Our history dates back decades ago in Surin, a province located in the Lower North Eastern plain in Thailand. Beginning as a trader of poultry and farm produces such as tapioca, jute and rice, our business went well while we developed a vision that rice trade would play a vital part of the community’s development. Consequently, we turned to focus more on rice. And our first rice mill was elected in 1972, together with the filing of the business’ legal entity under the name Sinudom Surin Rice Mill Ltd. Part. The mill’s features included a wholly wooden construction with steam-powered mechanism. The steam was generated from a boiler and an incinerator fed with husks from rice paddy as an energy source. With sincere and straight-forward business practices, our rice business prospered steadily. And it was not long before we realized the need to construct the second, more advanced, steel-structured mill which was, however still, equipped with steam-powered mechanism similar to the first. By then our milling capacity had increased twofold, serving both sides of the evermore repeated orders from rice exporters and higher productivity of the local farmers. In 2003, Tek Seng Rice Mill Co., Ltd. was registered, and together with it, our fourth mill is built. To meet with our objective of becoming a quality leader, the mill is given state of the art technology from Japan and Germany. The 500 tons/day milling capacity is through a fully automated, concealed system, coupled with rigorous quality control practice. Under Tek Seng Rice Mill Co., Ltd. our brand-marks for Thai Hom Mali rice are accepted with a warm welcome around the world.
